Collages
Collage work is my newest love and passion for design. Below are showcased in order from my first collage to my most recent one. I grab inspiration from different people. The first being Hannah Höch, whom i discovered during my early days in college where we talked about the history of design. Her unique style of photomontage really helped me mold my work to be what it is now. My second source of inspiration is my former photography professor Kathy Vargas who has mastered her unique style of hand-coloured photography. Her hard work and ability to create beautiful art didn't go unnoticed, you can find her work in the Smithsonian being shown off to the public. My third inspiration is also another former professor who taught me the skill of printmaking and her name is Lissete Chavez, my biggest inspiration hands down. Day one of her class she showed us her work and i completely fell in love with her work. It was unique, blunt, but held truth. She has crafted her skills in lithography, drawing and installation-based work with perfection. Her talks about being you and following your own path, developing your own special skill didn't go unheard. Those talks really touched me and made me begin working on what i do now. I thank these three amazing talented women for teaching and inspiring me to do what i love to do. So please enjoy my work below and let me know what you think.
